Foundation & Continuing Students Jewellery Making. Tuesdays 5.30 to 8.30pm
6 week term, Tuesday evenings 5.30 - 8.30pm.
Tuesday 30th July to 3rd September
Ever wanted to learn how to make your own jewellery?
This intro course will take you through all the foundational skills of traditional metal jewellery making including: metal properties and selection, sawing, filing, soldering and basic cabochon stone setting. Along the way you will complete a minimum of 3 projects (earrings, rings, stone set ring/pendant) to put these skills to use and enhance your design skills. You will finish this course with a thirst for more!
Many students continue with foundation classes and create new projects each term. Advancing classes are available once students can independently complete foundation skills.
Tuesdays 5.30-8.30pm. 30 July to 3rd September
Term (6 week) Cost $480.
Small class sizes to ensure you have personalised attention. All tools and practice materials (copper, brass and aluminium) are provided. However any precious metal (silver and gold) gems, and consumables that the student would like to use are available at an additional cost.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Art with a Major in Gold and Silversmithing and a long history of teaching at both Griffith University and in private settings. I absolutely love exposing people to the possibilities of creating within the Contemporary Jewellery space.
